Lifting Threads

PDO, PLCL, and PCL refer to bioresorbable suture materials engineered to create firm, constant barbs through innovative machined molding methods. This advancement enables reduced tissue trauma during procedures via a patented 3-way needle design manufactured with grinding technology.

PDO suture is a synthetic and biodegradable monofilament suture developed in 1970s and its surface has smoother coating than that of catgut suture. It is the safest suture for its little bacterial contamination. PDO suture plays a role in removing wrinkle and stimulating collagen production as foreign body effect, lasting for about 6 months after thread embedding therapy. PDO suture is to be degraded into water and carbon dioxide, then fully absorbed through hydrolysis process without any residue.

PDO

P L C L

Its chemical name is Poly(l-lactide-co-e-caprolactone) and PLCL is a co-polymer of high purity L-Lactide and E-carprolactone. It has good processability and is safe for human body. So it is used in the field of medical devices related to tissue engineering and scaffold. It is a good material for regeneration of heart, skin, and blood vessel tissues due to its slow decomposition rate and high elongation.

PLCL

P C L

PCL suture helps our skin producing collagen being responsible for skin resilience and regeneration for its excellent characteristics to stimulate collagen genesis. PCL suture is good for surgery around the precision area because it is consisting of small and even particle and is a safe material. PCL suture sets you free from frequent surgeries as its effect can last for 2years or more. PCL can be completely decomposed and absorbed in our body through hydrolysis process, as proven as safe material.
